As a Senior Paid Marketing Manager joining our Paid Search team, you will be critical to the growth and success of our new Hotels Paid Search activity. You will provide technical guidance, coaching, and communicate effectively with external partners and internal stakeholders. 

You will have the opportunity to innovate, build, and scale our hotels campaigns. Your work will have real impact on our hotels growth targets, and contribute to the overall Skyscanner 2025 Strategy. 

Role responsibilities

  • Channel Leadership: Take ownership of the paid search and metasearch channels, andbe responsible for meeting performance targets and driving strategic growth. Lead the development and execution of roadmaps in collaboration with senior management, aligning with overall business objectives. 
  • Paid Search Performance Management:Oversee the performance management of paid search campaigns, including budget forecasting, management, and optimisation. Ensure that campaigns are effectively managed to meet or exceed KPIs..Work with the relevant teams to identifyareas for improvement and implementing strategies to drive growth. 
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical support and guidance on platforms such as SA360, Google Ads, and Channable. Utilise Excel for data analysis and Tableau for reporting and data visualisation, turning complex data sets into actionable insights. 
  • Testing and Innovation: Drive experimentation and innovation within the channel by managing a testing backlog, and scoping new opportunities. Stay up to date with industry trends to ensure the channel remains competitive. 
  • Stakeholder Management:Maintain excellent communication with internal stakeholders and external partners. Address and resolve any blockers, issues, or technical challenges that may arise, ensuring alignment across teams. 
  • Line Management: Potentially manage a small team, providing leadership, coaching, and development opportunities. Delegate tasks effectively while being ready to dive into hands-on work when necessary. 
  • Project Management: Lead the creation of project and testing roadmaps. Write detailed requirements documentation and work closely with product, engineering, data science, and analytics teams to ensure smooth project execution. 
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyse campaign performance and pull together complex data sets to surface insights. Develop actionable plans to improve or grow the channel, using data to guide decisions. 
  • Presentation and Communication: Prepare and deliver presentations to senior stakeholders, providing clear updates on campaign performance, project progress, and strategic initiatives. 

Skills required 

  • Performance Marketing: Recent hands-on experience in managing paid search accounts. Proven ability to manage budgets, forecast performance, and optimise campaigns.
  • Marketing Tools: Proficiency in SA360, Google Ads, Channable.
  • Business Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (able to manipulate and combine data from various sources to generate meaningful insights). Experience in Tableau is a nice to have.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience in working across multiple teams and with external partners. 
  • Team Development and Line Management: Previous experience in line management, with a track record of leading teams and developing talent. 
  • Project Management: Excellent project management skills, including the ability to create and manage project roadmaps.
