Cleaning & Facilities Assistant (x2 vacancies)

Would you thrive in a busy and varied role? We are looking for two additional team members to join our team working at the Prince of Wales Stadium and Leisure at Cheltenham, ensuring that buildings, grounds, and equipment are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and aesthetic condition.

Our Organisation

The Cheltenham Trust is an independent charity that manages five iconic venues at the heart of Cheltenham including the Pittville Pump Room, Cheltenham Town Hall, Wilson Art Gallery and Museum, Leisure at Cheltenham, and the Prince of Wales Stadium. Our venues host impressive year-round events programmes including live music, comedy, festivals, and exhibitions.

The Role – Cleaning & Facilities Assistant

Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor, as part of the team you will be assisting with:

• Cleaning tasks, ensuring our venues maintain a high level of cleanliness hygiene and tidiness
• Ensuring the venues, grounds and equipment are maintained to a high standard of repair
• Proactively identifying, resolving, and reporting preventative and cleaning / maintenance issues
• Carrying out minor maintenance tasks and deep cleaning when required
• Refilling and restocking cleaning supplies and toiletries
• Assisting colleagues to set up and set down our venues for service and events, as required
• Opening and locking up the buildings as per the team rota

You will primarily be working at Leisure at Cheltenham, and the Prince of Wales Stadium, although when required you will be working across some of the other venues managed by The Cheltenham Trust.

The Package

• Permanent contract, working 8 hour shifts 5 days out of 7 on a rota between the hours of 5:30am and 10:30pm Monday to Friday, and between 8am and 8pm Saturday and Sunday

• Excellent organisation and housekeeping skills
• Ability to work on your own initiative

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to work to a schedule as part of a team
• Working knowledge of Health and Safety Standards

Although not essential, COSHH awareness, First Aid at Work certification, and experience working in a similar role in a relevant environment, would all be advantageous.
