Our Hotel

Sitting at the foot of Snowdon within 30 acres of grounds, the Royal Victoria Hotel has been welcoming guests to the idyllic lakeside village of Llanberis for over one hundred years. We’re a busy 104-bedroom hotel, with an AA rosette restaurant, extensive coach party business, a popular dining bar, and an award-winning wedding and events venue.

Named in honour of the iconic lake, our Padarn Restaurant overlooks our formal gardens and showcases the best local and seasonal ingredients and produce. At the vibrant heart of our hotel is the Eryri Bar and Lounge, offering a warm Welsh welcome to all our guests.

The Role – Restaurant Manager (Hospitality / Tourism)

As Restaurant Manager you will undertake a hands-on role, leading the Restaurant team and designating colleagues to their stations on each shift, as well as stocking fridges and serving food and beverages. Your focus will always be to deliver excellent customer service, ensuring guests are well looked after. Further duties will include:

  • Greeting and escorting customers to their tables
  • Hiring, training and supervising restaurant employees
  • Creating and maintaining the staff rotas
  • Ordering and tracking stock levels of food, supplies and equipment
  • Taking ownership of budgets and cost control methods, reporting on financial performance and inventory
  • Ensuring health, safety and sanitation standards
  • Processing payroll and maintaining records
  • Undertaking general duty management duties

Our Requirements – Restaurant Manager (Hospitality / Tourism)

  • Experience gained in a hospitality or tourism environment, with the ability to lead a team of people
  • Be friendly, smiley, sociable and welcoming to guests, to create a great atmosphere
  • Confident, flexible, and self-motivated

The Package

  • Permanent contract, working between 40 and 45 hours per week on a rolling rota
  • Salary of £24,960
  • Live-in accommodation available, if required
