Sales Consultant

Adlington Retirement Living design, build and operate high quality retirement communities comprising of multi-storey one, two and three bedroom privately owned apartments. Adlington is part of the respected Gladman Group with over 35 years of development experience.

The Spindles is a brand-new development of 72 luxury retirement apartments in Menston, West Yorkshire. Homeowners of the selection of privately-owned apartments benefit from modern, stylish living in a safe and secure environment. The development offers an independent lifestyle with tailored care and support available if needed, in addition to a host of communal facilities such as an elegant table service restaurant, Homeowners’ lounge with patio area, activities studio, therapy room and hairdressing salon, and more.

The Role – Sales Consultant

Reporting to the Senior Sales Manager, you’ll work closely with the Senior Sales Consultant at The Spindles to promote and sell 1, 2 and 3 bedroom luxury retirement apartments.

You’ll achieve this by providing excellent customer service and gaining potential homeowners trust through meaningful interactions and building professional relationships. You’ll proactively call customers from our database, conduct show tours of the retirement community, guide potential buyers with information that will empower them to make an informed decision, manage all aspects of the sale through to completion, and assist new homeowners to settle into their apartment.

Our Requirements - Sales Consultant

  • Either have a minimum of 2-3 years customer service or have sales experience gained in a customer facing role including but not limited to from within retail, hospitality or perhaps an estate agency
  • Friendly and enthusiastic approach, with empathy towards our customer base and ability to build meaningful, professional relationships
  • High level of communication and organisation skills
  • Be well presented

Although not essential, prior housing sales experience and knowledge of the local property market would be highly advantageous.

The Package

As a Sales Consultant you will benefit from:

  • Salary of £28,000, plus commission per completed apartment sale
  • 34 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays
  • 6% employer pension contributions (after qualifying period)
  • Four times annual salary Death in Service Benefit
  • 2 year fixed term contract, with the potential to lead to further opportunities within the business

You will work 35 hours per week 10am to 5pm, on a team rota working 5 out of 6 days within Monday to Saturday.
