The Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways are two of the UK's most popular heritage railways, located in the heart of picturesque Snowdonia. We operate trains daily from late March to the end of October.

We are looking for hardworking, enthusiastic individuals to join our commercial team working in our Porthmadog Booking Office. This is predominately an administrative post, with duties including taking bookings by telephone, processing bookings and answering enquiries face to face, by telephone and by email. Experience of working in a similar role would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided, however candidates must be familiar with working with computer systems and email.

Core Skills:

• Must be numerate, literate and have good computer skills
• Experience of working in an administrative role is desirable
• ‘Front of House’ position so good communication skills and a cheerful disposition are essential
• Smart appearance following dress code

The ability to speak Welsh would be an advantage as would knowledge of the railways and their passengers; and the local area.

This is a seasonal position to start as soon as possible, to the end of October 2022. A zero hours contract will be offered initially, hours of work will vary to include both weekday and weekend shifts and may be flexible to suit candidate. A full time position may be available to cover the busy summer season, from the end of May to mid-September.

Rate of pay is £9.50 per hour for 21 and over, £7.50 per hour for under 21s. Applicants for these positions must have the right to work in the UK.
